According to Family Tree, Margaret's marriage certificate, ordered from Wales, (citation: Wales Copy of Marriage Certificate, 1858, General Register Office Glamorgan County, Trefechan, Merthyr Tydfil District, Zoar Chapel, Rites and Cermemonies of the Independents, No. 190, Application Number PAS 825032, WMXZ 070042) lists Margaret as a Thomas, and her father as a John Thomas.
