September 1852 - May 1853

Having been called to go on a mission to Wales, my native land, in a special confarence that was held in the Tabernacle Great Salt Lake City Utah Territory North America on the [blank space] 1852. Also brothers Dan Jones, and Daniel Daniels was called to go to Wales. I do not intend to give the whole account of my labors and travails [travels] but a short scetch of what I consider will be the most beneficial to keep a journal so that my posterity may read my history in generations to come. I am laboring under some disadvantage to keep my journal in the english language being a welchman, but I will do the best I can in the english language foreseeing that my posterity will read and write the english language because of their being brought up among english brethren mostly. My history before I was called to go on a mission to Wales will be seen on other books. that is when I was baptized and confirmed a member of this Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and when I was ordained a Priest and afterwards an elder and after that an High Priest. My labours in wales before I emigrated to Zion, etc. And when my wife and myself was sealed for time and for all eternity.

And also that there were thirty five thousand millions that rebelled and was thrust down to this earth, which are evil spirits. And the calculation is that only one million of people lives on the earth at the same time, leaving thirty five devils to tempt each person, and it needs be to have many good spirits to help the human family. He said that God do see us, that he is full of light and that his eyes pierceth all things at the same time. He also said that Moses saw all the particles of this earth at the same time, and if Moses could see all the particles of this earth at the same time, the Lord can see all the particles of all creations at the same time.
