At 9:15 am I took train for Collinston. I here met my daughter, Anna and Mr. Owen Davis with a team to take us to Samaria. Mr. Cecil James Holding came with us to work for me. Arrived at Samaria at 5:30 pm. Found my family at home and they were glad to see me and there were many relatives, friends also at my house. In about two hours later the Samaria Brass Band came out and played several tunes to welcome me home. Many more of my friends came with them. We spent a very pleasant evening in singing and shaking hands. They were all interested in hearing about my mission.

My two daughters, Mary and Sarah, were just getting better from the measles.
