BOOK TWO
Oct. 21, 1895 - Whitcombe
Street, Aberdare, Glamorganshire, South Wales. Account of Daniel E. Price.
His labors from this time on.
Today
we took a rest after a good walk yesterday.
In the evening I took a walk around the park and on the way back I met
Bro. Trehorne by Mr. John Lewis' house and he and his wife asked us to come in
to have a cup of tea so we went in and there were two other gentlemen in the
house by the names of Dan Davies & Evan Lewis from Aberaman. They were both Josephites and so is Mr. John
Lewis. After supper they all joined
together and brought up several accusations against the Latter Day Saints. But by the help of the Lord they were
conquered on every point that they brought forward and they had to give it
up. The only question that was asked
them they failed to answer. Mrssrs. Wm.
and Isaac Dunn called to see us today and wanted us to write a consoling letter
to their father about the death of their mother.
Oct.

Aberdare. Raining all day so we were
obliged to stay indoors and we read the Star which was interesting. So we put in the day reading and conversing
on the gospel.
Oct.
23 - Aberdare. Cold day. We marked and distributed 200 tracts on Monk Street. One man asked me what tracts are they. I told him that they were the Latter Day
Saints tracts. He said if they are as
good as the former day Saints that they were good and not the same as the
Brighamite Saints. I told him that I
represented those called the Brighamite Saints.
Then he looked at me as though I had horns on. Then he said "I will read it and see what is
in it." Then we took a walk of 2 ½ miles
to Cwmdare to see a Mrs. Palmer but we met her coming to Aberdare on
business. She invited us up some other
day to see her. We were a little
disappointed but we had a grand view of Cwmdare and a pleasant walk.
Oct.

saints. After meeting Bro. Trehorne and
myself called on Mrs. Reynolds and had good welcome and long gospel
conversation with her and one of her sons.
We left here at 7 p.m. for Aberdare over the mountains. We had good moon light. The road was a little wet but we reached home
in one hour and 45 min.

I had a long conversation with Mrs. Price & Mr. Rodgers on the

appearances to no effect as he would not change the meaning of every verse that
I would quote him. This makes the fifth
time we have talked about the principles of the gospel and we have agreed to
let it drop at that as Mr. Price & wife are satisfied with what the
Methodist has. I have loaned him several
books and he has only read part of them and he doesn't want any more of them so
