To the Emigrants

TO THE EMIGRANTS

I take this opportunity to remind you of the directions which were given by President S. W. Richards, which came out in the "Star" and the TRUMPET. There has been great neglect about sending how many intend to emigrate from the Districts with the L13 and the L10 companies. President Richards requested this information by the first of this month, which prompts me to write this reminder. More attention should be given to the directions for emigrating from now on. It is required that the emigrants read and ponder more about that which is published to them especially. I wish to call the attention of the Presidents to this, and also to acknowledge the debts which pertain to them in connection with the emigrants, such as their counsels and directions, because there have been many obstacles coming up against them. And pray for them that they may succeed in their efforts. Let everyone who is emigrating with the L13 company send L8 here by the 20th of this month. Also to those who can collect L10, let them send the same amount by the same time. Let the Presidents take care that this group of emigrants be men who are worthy of receiving a loan of L3 each. No one should expect to go with the L10 company if they have L13 each. The rest will be paid in Liverpool. All who choose to have yokes already purchased can send L45 here to me posthaste, so that I can send it at the same time to Liverpool.--Wm. S. Phillips.
The following District Presidents are to emigrate next time:--Thomas C. Martill, Carmarthenshire; Phillip Sykes, North Pembroke. The Traveling Elders who are to emigrate, as far as we know at present, are: W. D. Jones, East Glamorgan; George Byewater, West Glamorgan; David William, South Pembroke.
