Harris, Rachel - Letter to Daniel R. Evans - 1885/05/20

Letter from Rachel (Evans) Harris to Her Cousin Daniel R. Evans

Cedar City May 20th 1885

Mr. Daniel R. Evans,

Dear Cousin,

Your kind and welcome letter came to hand a week ago.  It is with pleasure that I take my pen in hand to answer your letter.  I received your photograph and was very much pleased to get it.  We are all well at present, hoping to find you all enjoying the same pleasure.  I never thought to tell you that Mary Riddle, our cousin, belongs to the church and all her family.  If you want to write to Mary, tell her sho [who] you are, I don't think that she will know you.  She came across the sea with your father.

If you know any of our cousins in Montana or Malad give them my respects.  Tell them I would like to hear from them.

I haven't saw George R. Hunter in a good while, he has moved out on his ranch about 6 miles from here.  He was married about a year ago.  He married one of Bishop Lunts daughters.  They went through the Temple.  We would like to hear from your folks, your brothers, sisters and family and we are all the same address.  I gave you their names in the last letter, you can give the folks our address.

I send my love to all in which the family [?].

from your cousin and family
